Prof. Warren M. Zapol, MD Professor of Anaesthesia, Massachusett General Hospital Harvard Medical School Boston, MA, USA, pioneered the study of inhaled nitric oxide (INO) proving it to be a selective pulmonary vasodilator and life saving for 'blue babies'.
