Financial Benefits

Caregivers

In accordance with Regional Law No. 2 of 28 March 2014, the University implements a range of psychological, informational and financial support initiatives for caregivers. For more information, please visit the Caregiver page.

Special Commission

In exceptional cases of significant temporary or permanent hardship, duly evidenced, it is possible to submit a request to the Rector for a full or partial tuition fee exemption or for payment in instalments. Requests are assessed by a University Commission. The Centre offers support in evaluating the suitability of the request and, where appropriate, in completing the application.

IT Equipment Loan

Students with Disability (Italian Law 104/1992), Invalidity, SLD and SEN may borrow IT equipment free of charge. For more information, please refer to the dedicated section on the Inclusion Service page.

Addiction Specialist Consultants and Psychologists

The CAI offers psychological support to individuals with issues relating to the use, misuse and dependency on legal and illegal substances, as well as to all those exhibiting other addictive behaviours. Psychological Counselling

The CAI offers free psychological support to students, research staff, academic staff and technical-administrative staff of the University, and to all members of the Academic Community, in response to any difficulty that may affect continuity of studies or wellbeing in the workplace. Corsi di inglese per DSA

English language courses for students with Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are offered annually, aimed at obtaining B1 or B2 level language proficiency certification. The courses are also open to students who do not need to obtain the certification.

For 2026, the current offer consists of the following courses:

  • B1 English for students who need to obtain the certification or who need to consolidate their language skills before attending the B2 course (January to March 2026)
  • B2 English for students who need to obtain the certification (March to May 2026).

The courses are held online, with regular in-person conversation sessions and practice activities also scheduled. 

Three weekly sessions are planned, which will be recorded and made available on the Elly platform for those unable to attend in person.

Remote Exams

To enquire about the possibility of sitting an examination remotely, please write to the Director of the Centre dolores.rollo@unipr.it at least ten days before the scheduled examination date.

LGBTQIA+

The University Psychological Counselling Service offers qualified support to LGBTQIA+ individuals in a confidential and welcoming environment. It accompanies processes related to coming out as a personal journey, respecting each person's own pace and circumstances. It addresses emotional regulation and the management of stress associated with experiences of stigma or non-recognition (minority stress). It promotes self-awareness, identity integration and self-determination. The aim is to foster psychological wellbeing and personal safety across the different contexts of life.

Compensatory Tools and Exemption Measures

The CAI provides compensatory tools and exemption measures for students with disability, invalidity, SLD and SEN. For more information, please refer to the dedicated section on the Inclusion Service page.

Accessible Workstations

At the various locations of our University, both in the historic city centre and at the Campus on Via Langhirano, the Centre has equipped lecture rooms with height-adjustable desks, to enable all students to use the learning spaces comfortably and inclusively.

Furthermore, at the Provincial Documentation Centre for School, Work and Social Integration (CEPDI), in Via Stirone 4, and at the Ilaria Alpi International Library, in Vicolo Asdente 5, Parma, accessible workstations have been set up, equipped with height-adjustable tables, video magnifiers and software for people with sensory disabilities.

Peer Tutors

Through the CAI, students with Disability, Invalidity, SLD and SEN who are experiencing difficulties in their academic journey may request to be supported by a tutor. For more information, please refer to the dedicated section on the Inclusion Service page.

Transport and Personal Assistance Services

Through the CAI, students with certified mobility impairments may access transport, accompaniment and support services. For more information, please refer to the dedicated section on the Inclusion Service page.
