After Climbing For Climate, thanks to the collaboration between the University of Parma and the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) – Parma Section, with the additional involvement of the CAI Borgotaro subgroup, a cycle of three thematic hikes in the Parma Apennines is being organized again this year. The initiative is aimed at female and male students of the University and focuses on environmental issues and sustainability.
During the hikes, University faculty members and local experts will provide thematic insights, while CAI volunteers will offer information and interesting facts about hiking and mountain activities.
As in the previous edition, in order to reach the starting point of the hikes and to minimize environmental impact, a bus will be made available for transport.
Appropriate mountain equipment is required (trekking boots with Vibram‑type soles or suitable footwear; windproof jacket; trekking poles recommended; water bottle with at least 1 liter of water; sunglasses and sunscreen), as well as a packed lunch.
