The University of Parma is taking part in the UP2MOVE Challenge 2026, the national sustainable mobility challenge among companies and organizations, promoted as part of the European Mobility Week 2026.
From 14 to 27 September, we can work together to help our University reach the top positions in the ranking by recording, via the UP2GO app, sustainable home-to-work journeys made:
- by bicycle;
- on foot;
- by public transport;
- through carpooling.
Each journey will earn points for your team and contribute to the University of Parma’s overall result, as well as to the calculation of the CO₂ emissions saved.
How to participate:
By 4 September: form a team with your colleagues and choose a name that represents you.
- By 7 September: communicate your team name by replying to the email specifically sent to UNIPR employees (for information: UP2GO – How it works).
- By 10 September: download the UP2GO app and register using the company code UniprBTW25.
- By 13 September: access the “More” section of the app and select your team. From 14 September onwards, team selection will no longer be possible.
- From 14 to 27 September: record your sustainable journeys, earn points and contribute to your team’s and the University’s ranking.
Bicycle journeys made during the Challenge will also continue to count towards the incentives provided by the Bike to Work project of the Municipality of Parma, with no additional activities or app configurations required.
At the end of the Challenge, the most outstanding organizations and participants will take part in the final awards ceremony, scheduled for October. Any winners of the inter-organizational challenge will receive a specific invitation to attend the event.
Participants can watch the video tutorials available in the UP2GO app settings. All information is also available in the attached infographic and on the UP2GO website.
I encourage everyone to take part: in addition to being an opportunity to share and have fun with colleagues, the Challenge will allow us to showcase the commitment of the university community to more sustainable mobility.
Form your team, choose a creative name and get ready for the challenge!
