GIVING TUESDAY
On December 2, the World Day of Giving is celebrated—a global movement that honors generosity and solidarity. Born in 2012, the GivingTuesday event has grown over time into a true worldwide movement involving more than 100 countries and millions of people. Giving Tuesday inspires individuals, families, organizations, businesses, and entire communities to give, collaborate, and commit to building a fairer and more supportive world.
The Importance of Giving
On the occasion of Giving Tuesday, the University of Parma, within the framework of EU Green initiatives, together with AVIS Parma, ADMO Emilia Romagna, and Emporio Solidale di Parma, invites students and university staff to discover the value of volunteering and to support, with a concrete gesture, those living in difficult situations.
A Gesture Worth a Life
On December 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Science Classrooms of the Campus on Via Langhirano and at the Central Headquarters on Via Università 12, AVIS and ADMO volunteers will be present to provide all the necessary information to become donors.
Food Drive for Emporio Solidale
On December 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Science Classrooms of the Campus on Via Langhirano, the University of Parma is organizing a food drive in support of Emporio Solidale di Parma. The most useful products include:
