MOBILITA’ AI FINI DI TIROCINIO
Tirocini della durata minima di 60 giorni da svolgere nel periodo FEBBRAIO – MAGGIO 2022 presso imprese, centri di formazione, centri di ricerca o altre organizzazioni (escluse istituzioni europee o organizzazioni che gestiscono programmi europei) presenti in uno dei Paesi partecipanti al Programma. Il progetto prevede l’erogazione di un contributo finanziario comunitario per coprire parte delle spese sostenute dagli studenti durante il periodo di tirocinio.

Le domande dovranno essere inviate a TUCEP entro e non oltre il 14 GENNAIO 2022 tramite una delle seguenti modalità:

• Raccomandata A/R (non farà fede il timbro dell’ufficio postale accettante, ma solo il timbro di protocollo di entrata di Tucep)

The relationship between HEIs and their local communities tends to be framed around student versus local resident’s lives and ‘economic impact’. This is failing both the community for whom greater benefits are possible and the University for whom the local community presents a wonderful vehicle for collaborative engaged research. As higher education faces unprecedented public scrutiny and increasing pressures from the political, economic, social and environmental agendas, there is increased public interest in the impact of universities on their localities and regions and growing calls for universities to be more socially relevant and responsible by addressing the needs of society, both locally and globally. In recent years, the concept of the “third mission” has become popularised, referring to the social, enterprise, and innovative activities that universities perform in addition to core teaching and research tasks (Zomer and Benneworth 2011). It is increasingly recognised that universities, when well-connected with their communities, can be a vehicle for making healthier, culturally richer and more interesting places to live, work and study. The civic university can be characterised by its ability to integrate its teaching, research and engagement with the outside world in such a way that each enhances the other without diminishing their quality (Goddard and Kempton 2016). Globally, more and more universities are integrating social responsibility into their mission statements, including those for research and teaching, arguing that higher education is improved when it gives back to the society that is responsible for funding it. Indeed, University Social Responsibility (USR) has become a core mission of many higher education institutions around the world (Timothy W. Tong, THE, April 7, 2017). Through learning and sharing best practice, we want to drive institution-wide appreciation of and commitment to, co-production of knowledge and innovation through social engagement and citizen-led research, where the experience and expertise of individuals, communities and civic organisations is recognised, used and valued. We also want to understand how HEIs can build capacity to respond to what their local community really needs and perform or broker research (including community-based participatory action research), with and for communities, in a demand-driven way, while enhancing the civic competencies of students. A key goal underpinning the project will be to ensure that the project delivers a legacy of progress and impact that will last beyond the lifetime of the project.

The central aim of this proposal is to share experience and know-how of relationships between European Universities and their civic societies and to create a platform for practitioners to work together and learn from each other. We wish to partner with other European Universities within the EUniverCities Network, to explore the means by which cities are engaging with and mobilising citizens to facilitate teaching, research or volunteering opportunities and creating innovative solutions to societal issues.
Through sharing successful innovative practice, we want to better understand how we can improve reciprocity between academia and local society in order to address regional challenges and deliver local economic, social and cultural benefits and impact.
We want to explore and review the different models of community or civic university partnerships such as front-door (e.g. science shops), embedded and networked partnerships and define the processes, structures and governance which best nurture successful civic university partnerships.
We will explore the different approaches currently being used to include underrepresented social groups and ethnic minorities in the engagement approach and consider opportunities for improving equity throughout all stages of the collaborative process.
Finally, we want to identify opportunities to scale-up successful citizen-driven approaches and use partner cities as a test bed for their deployment.

Descrizione del progetto: The CaST – Communities and Students Together project focuses on how universities can work more effectively and more inclusively within their city communities by providing students with opportunities to work on local societal challenges. The objective of the CaST project is to advance our knowledge and understanding of engaged learning and to develop and pilot a programme in each partner university which enables community-based engaged learning and/or research for students to work on real world societal challenges and co-produce knowledge with and for the community. This project will boost partner universities’ understanding of the scope of and opportunities for engaged learning, helping them recognise and reflect upon the mutual benefits that an immersive learning experience can offer the student, the university and the communities with which they engage. Through the exploration of engaged learning in six different European Institutions, we will identify different modes of engaged learning practice, each with different drivers, enablers and barriers to successful engaged learning practice. Globally, there are growing calls for Higher Education Institutions to become more civically engaged and socially relevant and there is increased public interest in the impact of universities on their localities and regions. Engaged learning facilitates students to apply theory to real-world contexts outside of the University and to co-produce knowledge with and for the community. Engaged learning provides students with the skills which increase their employability, and improve their personal and professional development, while communities gain access to skills to help develop, evaluate or communicate their work. As well as leaving a legacy of shared knowledge, the project will design and pilot a new engaged learning initiative in each partner institution. The ambition is for each of these initiatives to be mutually beneficial, and sustainable beyond the duration of the project funding. Moreover, it is anticipated that each Pilot may have the potential to be replicated or further scaled-up within other disciplines within each institution, or within other HEIs with a similar social context. We will also seek to understand any additional impacts including contribution to curricula or pedagogy and in making academic research accessible to the broader community.

ARCHEA, un progetto di ricerca che si attua mediante la mobilità e la formazione, si basa sull’innovazione della formazione in architettura, con attenzione specifica alle città di medie dimensioni europee: un tipo di città, questo, che costituisce la stragrande maggioranza delle realtà urbane europee, tra cui anche Parma. Attraverso la mobilità di studenti e docenti (complessivamente un centinaio), impegnati nei tre anni in seminari, workshop progettuali e altre attività formative nelle diverse sedi (anche con l’ausilio di tecnologie di ICT applicate alla progettazione), si cercherà di mettere a punto un metodo di analisi e progetto di parti urbane attraverso varie tecniche di densificazione, ossia un modello interpretativo di “resilienza” urbana.

InnoDairyEdu mira a collegare il mondo accademico con l'industria lattiero-casearia e prevede lo sviluppo di materiale didattico digitale innovativo per studenti e professionisti del settore lattiero-caseario sui temi della produzione e lavorazione del latte, della sicurezza, qualità e imprenditorialità. Gli argomenti del materiale educativo saranno selezionati sulla base della valutazione dei curricula correnti nelle Università partecipanti e tenendo conto delle opinioni dell'industria casearia sulla base dei bisogni formativi identificati nel loro personale tecnico specializzato. Il materiale sarà liberamente accessibile nel formato di Massive Open Online Courses-MOOC attraverso una piattaforma interattiva che sarà sviluppata nell'ambito del progetto e che fungerà da strumento di divulgazione del materiale formativo per tutte le parti interessate. I partner del progetto coordinato dalla prof.ssa Eleni Malissiova del dipartimento di tecnologia alimentare del TEI sono, oltre all’Università di Parma, l’Università di León per la Spagna, l’Università di Warmia-Mazuri per la Polonia, la Cipro University of Technology e 4obs Consulting per la Grecia. I partner finora associati per l’Italia sono il Consorzio per il Parmigiano Reggiano e il Consorzio per la Tutela del Formaggio Gorgonzola DOP, molte altre industrie lattiero-casearie e cooperative dei paesi partecipanti saranno attivamente coinvolte.

In Europe, urban art is in a kind of limbo. On the one hand, the general public has long been uncertain about considering it a form of art in its own right. On the other hand, urban art has not received the attention it deserves, even from those working in that sector. However, urban art is now gaining increasing importance and the affection of citizens. Nevertheless, the issue of conserving urban artworks has not yet been systematically addressed. The goals of the CAPuS project are the development of guidelines for the protection and conservation of contemporary artworks that belong to street and urban art and the introduction of an innovative training module in higher education institutions. Through the close cooperation among researchers, educators and business people, operational protocols will then be introduced for specific interventions on this kind of artworks. Firstly, the project features an initial phase of structured dialogue with the artists and the formalization of artworks. The second phase will continue with the analysis of the artworks constituents. This phase actively involves exchanges between teachers, students and researchers. The first result of this synergy is the rationalization of the types of artworks. Within the third phase, the profitable synergy with the companies will finally take place. This is when specific conservation methods and products will be developed and will be drawn up into conservation guidelines.
Internship opportunities for students at companies involved in the project are also envisaged. The results of this research are open-access and will constitute the basis to create an innovative formative module to be introduced in higher education institutions. A pilot course will be taught during the project’s lifespan and an e-learning platform will be implemented. The added value of this project is the emergence of a new, shared European cultural value: this feature makes it so that the project can be also exported, in the long run, to European countries that, although are not members of the partnership, still identify themselves with it.

GARDENStoGROW Urban Horticulture for Innovative and Inclusive Early Childhood Educationè un progetto co-finanziato dal programma Erasmus+ dell’Unione Europea, finalizzato a realizzazione orti didattici e corsi di formazione per insegnanti delle scuole dell’infanzia e dirigenti scolastici, per lo sviluppo di competenze di base, civiche e trasversali per la fascia d’età 3-6 anni. Il progetto GARDENStoGROW è stato realizzato allo scopo di migliorare l’istruzione nei primissimi anni dello sviluppo dei bambini per poter ridurre le disparità e le ineguaglianze alle radici, con un significativo vantaggio in termini socio-economico negli anni a venire. Gli orti scolastici, che si stanno diffondendo in tutta Europa, sono luoghi naturali in cui i bambini possono avere un contatto reale con la natura, scoprire le origini di ciò che mangiano, osservare la crescita di fiori e ortaggi, sperimentare le fasi dello sviluppo in natura, apprendere capacità importanti per la loro vita come la responsabilità, la cooperazione e una maggiore sicurezza in sé stessi grazie al conseguimento tangibile di risultati. Tuttavia, la fruizione permanente degli orti scolastici è spesso difficile da mantenere a causa di diversi fattori: posizione inadatta della scuola (disponibilità o contaminazione del terreno), difficoltà di accesso all’acqua, mancanza di fondi, impossibilità di accedere alle scuole durante la chiusura per le attività di manutenzione, mancanza di docenti o di personale specializzato per garantire la gestione permanente degli orti oltre alle attività pedagogiche.

Descrizione del progetto:
The recent years migration waves have been posing increasing challenges to the national education systems across Europe and to the overall quality of teaching and learning at large. The rapidly growing number of newly arrived pupils and children with a mother tongue different from Italian and Swedish in pre-schools, primary schools and lower secondary schools has raised many questions about how to adapt the learning context to a situation characterised by the presence of pupils in the classes not only with different cultural background but different levels of language knowledge. Studies and research show that these groups have a much harder time to achieve the educational goals of primary education and their intellectual development is at risk of being slown down and not fully taken advantage of. This in fact means that the educational system risk to impose differentiation and segregation.

The project is fully relevant to theme of social inclusion as it will:
a) “Foster intercultural competences” among the partners, necessary in order to provide learning contexts leading to improved results based on the different needs of the pupils.
b) “Enhance the access, participation and learning performance of disanvantaged learners” by emphasizing inclusive approaches at all educational levels.

The project equally promotes the acquisition of skills and competences through:
a) a holistic approach to language and learning among school leaders and staff. A holistic approach means that several competences and approaches (for example knowledge about multilingualism, collegial learning, pedagogical leadership and high expectations) are needed to create equal conditions for all students. It also means that a holistic approach towards newly arrived migrants are reflected through a close collaboration between teachers, school leaders and the local authorities.
b) The building on existing diversity found in today’s classrooms through a number of researched based methods and approaches that can and leads to inclusion
c) emphasizing the importance of facilitating the transitions between preparatory and ordinary classes and between different educational stages

By focusing on the acquisition of skills of inclusive education the project targets not only goals of the Erasmus+ programme, but highly contributes to the EU-2020 strategy by making lifelong learning and mobility a reality, improving the quality of education by the professional development of teachers and foster employability and promote active citizenship among the youth.
