To ensure the effectiveness of procedures related to research activities, several actions were implemented: the establishment of specific regulations governing the implementation of research projects; the publication of the Strategic Plan with the definition of the objectives and actions of greatest impact in the various areas of relevance including research; the drafting of the "Guidelines for Good Scientific Practice and Dissemination of Research"; the establishment of a "Board for the Ethics of Non-Medical Research on the Person" (Research Ethic Board); the publication and implementation of a "Gender Equality Plan" (Gender Equality Plan); and the establishment of the University Research Commission, with advisory and propositional functions regarding the University's research support and development strategies.
