In order to promote constant application of good scientific practices, the University of Parma publishes "Good Practice in Research and Publication and Dissemination of Results" Guidelines with the aim of ensuring that university staff and researchers adhere to sound ethical principles in design, development and exploitation of research. The Guarantor for Good Scientific Practice Procedures (Ombudsman), appointed by the Academic Senate, is the figure in chcarge of resolving conflicts among authors of scientific publications. He/she is also deputed to collect reports of culpable and/or malicious misconduct in research activities for which an employee and/or collaborator of the University of Parma has been responsible. The Ombudsman is a confidential, impartial and competent figure with proven experience in the field of research project management. The Accedemic Senate by resolution SA/21-12-2021/156 has appointed Prof. Giorgio Guizzetti (giorgio.guizzetti@unipv.it), Professor Emeritus of the University of Pavia as Guarantor for Good Scientific Practice Procedures of the University of Parma for the period 2022-2024.
