The main events and events on the topic of Sustainability organized by the University 

The 2025 edition will take place from 17 to 23 May, organised by the University with the patronage and collaboration of the City of Parma and the RUS - Network of Universities for Sustainable Development.

The University produces documents geared toward its sustainable management and periodically participates in major international rankings

Eu Green is one of four projects awarded during the year 2022 by the European Commission - Alliance aims to: make universities more attractive, competitive, innovative and sustainable

The University should orient production and consumption with the principles of sharing, repairing, lending, reusing, reconditioning and recycling existing materials and products in mind. This extends the life cycle of products, helping to minimize waste. Food and water are also key issues related to sustainability

The University proposes actions to combat climate change by sharing information, materials and methods aimed at establishing common metrics, skills, knowledge and best practices

Energy transition is the answer to the current energy and climate crisis scenarios. The RUS and Italian universities have chosen to take this path, focusing on energy-saving actions and development of renewable sources

Environmental sustainability is the context within which social and economic life takes place, and this requires making decisions and acting in the collective rather than the individual interest. When it comes to mobility, the University of Parma aims to manage the movements of the people who make up the entire university community (students and staff) in such a way as to safeguard environmental conditions and reduce impacts on the atmosphere, including by encouraging more sustainable transportation habits.

An increasing level of cultural education and social awareness of environmental issues enables the creation of a Culture of Sustainability 

Equality and inclusion are important goals of the University. The areas of action are welfare, equal opportunity and inclusion policies, organizational well-being, and the protection and assistance of male and female students
