Students enrolled at the University of Parma are entitled to elect their representatives within the Academic Senate (in number of 6), the Board of Administration (in number of 2), the Evaluation Board (in number of 2) and the University Sports Committee (in number of 2). Student representatives also take part in the Departmental Councils and Course councils.
The Student Council, the main body by which students participate in the organization of the University with propositional and advisory functions, is composed of students present in the Academic Senate, Board of Administration, Evaluation Board, University Sports Committee, students of the University present in the representations at the regional and national levels, fifteen student representatives according to area groupings defined by regulations and elected by the student component.
The University of Parma also participates, through its student representatives, in the activities of the CNSU - National Council of University Students, an advisory body of the Ministry of University and Research.
