Exchange student mobility for traineeship

The University of Parma offers incoming students a wide range of internship opportunities in various facilities: offices and administrative services, museums, hospital departments and schools.

You can express your interest in an internship at the University of Parma by sending an e-mail to this address. Please specify the following information and attach appropriate documents:

  • Internship start date and duration
  • Proposed activities
  • Proof of Erasmus+ scholarship (if applicable)
  • Letter of motivation
  • Curriculum vitae
  • School of Medicine students must also attach a Transcript of Records and specify in which hospital department/department they want to do their traineeship; once accepted you must also send a Covid vaccination certificate and a vaccination list using the form at this link.
  • Keep in mind that Departments may require specific insurance and vaccinations.

Expressions of interest for each recruitment will be handled in collaboration with the Department Committees or Coordinators of the Offices involved, who will evaluate the candidate's profile. It is therefore advisable that expressions of interest be submitted early (at least 4 months in advance for trainees from EU countries and 6 months in advance for trainees from non-EU countries).

All students selected for Internship Mobility will be guided by a supervisor for the duration of their specific internship project.

SMT mobility can last between 2 and 12 months. The University of Parma offers incoming mobility internship opportunities. The trainee's acceptance is strictly subject to formal nomination as an Erasmus+ SMT student by the home institution.

Allows students from partner countries to carry out periods of traineeship mobility at the University of Parma. ICM mobility is active only when there are collaborative projects between the EU and non-EU partner institutions. Details on this type of mobility may vary depending on the Academic Year and the precise arrangements of each partnership.

Students enrolled in non-EU partner institutions that have a bilateral agreement (not ERASMUS+) with the University of Parma may spend a traineeship exchange period at the University of Parma. The duration of the traineeship period must be agreed upon between the trainee and the Host University Facility, at least 6 months prior to the start of the traineeship period.

Non-Erasmus+ internships are possible, provided the following criteria are met:

  1. The internship must be curricular - aimed at credit recognition and degree attainment at the home university
  2. The internship must be completed before graduation;
  3. There must be an active international agreement between the home university and the University of Parma;
  4. Internship students must be nominated by their home institution.
