Perform is a practical Academy dedicated to culture, performing arts and sports, with a focus on careers in communication, marketing and event management. Through partnerships with major local organisations - including Parma Calcio, Zebre Parma, Fondazione Arturo Toscanini, Teatro Regio and Teatro Due - students have the opportunity to work directly with professionals through workshops, field activities and internships. The Academy aims to develop concrete, transferable skills in designing, organising and promoting cultural and sports initiatives. Participants are also involved in the planning, communication and public presentation of activities connected with Parma European Youth Capital 2027, gaining direct insight into different professional environments and forms of cultural and sports communication.
Perform's intensive phase takes place in February 2027 and includes 22 hours of workshops hosted at the University and at partner venues. The programme opens with an introductory module led by the University of Parma Institutional Communication and Ceremonial Unit and continues with operational sessions involving Fondazione Arturo Toscanini, Teatro Due, Parma Calcio 1913, Zebre Parma and Teatro Regio. Professionals present practices and tools for designing, organising, promoting and communicating cultural and sports events, allowing students to observe different working environments at close range. From March to November, the programme continues through internships with partner institutions and, for some activities, with the University's Institutional Communication and Ceremonial Unit. Students therefore take part in real production and communication processes. Under supervision, the experience feeds into guidelines for cultural and sports communication connected with Parma 2027 initiatives.
