How it works

For each second cycle course, a committee will assess the applications received to determine eligibility.

You can only proceed with enrolment if you are found to be eligible.

If you already meet the minimum entry requirements when you submit your application, the system will allow you to proceed with enrolment.

If you are assessed as eligible but do not yet have a first-cycle degree, you will need to pre-enrol and then proceed with actual enrolment once you have completed your degree.

If after your application has been assessed it is found that you need to obtain missing CFUs in order to enrol, you will be considered eligible with debts to be cleared.

You can apply to have your eligibility checked from 12 noon on 3 June 2025 until 12 noon on 10 December 2025, unless otherwise stated*.

Once you are deemed eligible (even if you still have a degree to obtain), you must enrol or pre-enrol from 16 July to 19 December 2025, unless otherwise stated*.

If places are not available at the end of this window, a second window may be opened for some courses.

*WARNING! Some courses may have a different deadline. We therefore advise you to check the deadline for your course on the relevant website (menu ENROLL> Enrolment methods and deadlines).

Where to find the entry requirements

To find out what the entry requirements are for the course you are interested in, visit the relevant website (menu ENROLL> Enrolment Methods and Deadlines).

How to apply for requirements evaluation

For most courses, you can apply from 12 noon on 3 June 2025 until 12 noon on 10 December 2025.

Please note that some courses may have a different deadline. We advise to check the deadline for your course on the relevant website (menu ENROLL> Enrolment methods and deadlines).

To apply for an assessment:

  • access Ess3 - Segreteria online with SPID/CIE or with the University credentials obtained during registration;
  • select the menu item SEGRETERIA>PROCEDURA DI VALUTAZIONE REQUISITI (if you have a closed previous career at our University you must select that and then click on SEGRETERIA>PROCEDURA DI VALUTAZIONE REQUISITI)
  • select the course you are interested in
  • enter your admission qualification (even if you have not yet obtained it);
  • upload the required documents (warning: remember to check the specific requirements of your course first) and confirm.

For each course, a committee will evaluate the applications received to assess eligibility.

At the end of the evaluation, the committee will issue an outcome.
Go to the next section to find out about the possible outcomes and what to do about each outcome.

Outcome: what to do?

At the end of the assessment, the committee may award the following results:

  • eligible
  • eligible with a degree to be obtained
  • eligible with requirements to be integrated (with or without qualification)
  • not eligible

ELIGIBLE

You are considered eligible if you have already obtained a degree and meet the entry requirements for the course you have applied for. You can proceed with the enrolment application (see How to enrol) by paying the first instalment (€156).

Once you have made the payment, the University will send an email confirming your enrolment with your matriculation number and another email with your institutional email address (e.g. nome.cognome@studenti.unipr.it) to the email address you provided when you enrolled.

ELIGIBLE WITH A DEGREE TO BE OBTAINED

You are considered eligible with a degree to be obtained if you meet the entry requirements for the course you have applied for but have not yet obtained your degree.

If you already know that you can't to do this by the deadline for your course, you must pre-enrol (see How to pre-enrol) and pay a €50 fee to reserve your place.
Once you have obtained your degree, you can enrol until 31 March 2026.

If you graduate before the deadline for your course, you can enrol directly (see How to enrol).

Once you have made your payment, the University will send you an enrolment confirmation email to the email address you provided when you enrolled, with your matriculation number and your institutional email address (e.g. nome.cognome@studenti.unipr.it).

ELIGIBLE WITH REQUIREMENTS TO BE INTEGRATED

This outcome can be given for different reasons, depending on the type of requirement to be integrated.

These are the possible scenarios for this outcome:

  • Case 1: you have a degree but do not meet the requirements

You already have a degree, but your degree class does not prove that you have the minimum mandatory preparation for admission, and you do not have sufficient credits in certain disciplinary-scientific fields or other requirements that guarantee your eligibility.

In this case you can continue with your enrolment application (see How to enrol) by paying the first instalment of €156. You will not receive your enrolment number until you have integrated your requirements and the words 'requirements to be integrated' appear in your application in Esse3 - Segreteria online.

Once you have integrated the missing requirements, you must attach the corresponding documents to your application in Esse3 - Segreteria online.

The Commission will re-evaluate your application and, if you are found to be eligible and have paid the €156 fee, the University will send you an enrolment confirmation email to the email address you provided when you registered, with your matriculation number and your institutional email address (e.g. nome.cognome@studenti.unipr.it).

  • Case 2: you have not graduated and do not meet the requirements

You have not yet graduated and your graduation class does not demonstrate that you have the minimum mandatory preparation for admission, and you do not have sufficient credits in certain disciplinary-scientific fields or other requirements that guarantee your eligibility.

If you already know that you will not complete your three-year degree by the deadline for your course, you must pre-register (see How to pre-register) and pay a €50 fee to reserve your place.

Once you have obtained the missing credits or requirements (other than the degree), you must attach the relevant documents to your application on Esse3 - Online Secretariat.

The Committee will re-evaluate your application and inform you of the outcome:

-> Eligible if you have graduated in the meantime. In this case, if you have already pre-enrolled, you must write to your Student Secretariat to have the first instalment of €156 debited to your account.
Otherwise, you can enrol directly (see How to enrol).
In both cases, once you have paid the €156, the University will send you an enrolment confirmation email to the email address you provided when you enrolled, with your matriculation number and your institutional email address (e.g. nome.cognome@studenti.unipr.it).

-> Eligible with degree to be obtained if you have not yet graduated.
If you graduate after the deadline for your course, you must, if you have not already done so, pre-enrol (see How to pre-enrol).
Once you have obtained your degree, you must request by email from your student secretary's office the payment slip for the first instalment of €156 to finalise your enrolment.
Remember that, in any case, you must obtain your degree by 31 March 2026.

  • Case 3: you have not graduated and one of the requirements for admission is your degree grade

You have not yet graduated and, even if your degree class is among those that prove that you have a compulsory minimum preparation for admission, one of the requirements for admission is your degree grade.

If you already know that you will not complete your three-year degree by the deadline for your course, you must pre-enrol (see How to pre-enrol) by paying a €50 fee to reserve your place.

If you graduate within the deadline of your course, you must wait for the committee to assess your grade and then proceed with enrolment (see How to enrol).

Once you have graduated, you must enclose the corresponding documents in your application in Esse3 - Segreteria online.

The committee will re-assess your application and give you the result:

-> eligible, if your degree grade is equal to or higher than the threshold.
In this case, if you have pre-enrolled beforehand, you will have to write to your student secretariat to have the first instalment of €156 charged.
Otherwise, you can proceed directly with enrolment (see How to enrol).
In both cases, when you pay a €156 fee the University will send you an e-mail confirming your enrolment containing your matriculation number and one with your institutional e-mail address (e.g. nome.cognome@studenti.unipr.it).

-> Eligible with requirements to be supplemented, if your degree mark is below the threshold.
In this case, the committee will indicate possible ways of proving your adequate preparation and obtaining eligible status.

NOT ELIGIBLE

You are assessed as not eligible if the committee rejects your application because your degree requirements are not compatible with the entry requirements for the second-cycle degree course you have selected.

How to enrol

For most courses, you must complete the registration process between 12 noon on 16 July and 12 noon on 19 December.

Please note that some courses may have a different deadline. We advise you to check the deadline for your course on the relevant website (menu ENROLL> Enrolment Procedures and Deadlines).

If you know that you will be graduating after 19 December, please go to How to pre-enrol.

To proceed with enrolment log in with your SPID/CIE or with your university credentials if you fall into a category that is exempt from the SPID/CIE enrolment requirement.

If the authentication system has previously stored your credentials and allows you to log in automatically, you will need to log out, close the browser, open it again and log in with your SPID. If this does not work, you can: delete your cookies, switch to anonymous browsing or change your browser and then login with SPID/CIE.

Then:

  • Select the menu item SEGRETERIA>IMMATRICOLAZIONE (if you have a closed previous career at our University, you must select it and then click on SECRETERIA>IMMATRICOLAZIONE);
  • select your course and fill in the information and documents requested by the system;
  • Download the enrolment form and, by accessing the Payments section of the Segreteria menu, download or consult the IUV bulletin with the amount of the first instalment;
  • pay the instalment at any authorised bank counter in Italy or through any other payment system accepted by PagoPA (for information on the PagoPA payment system, see the dedicated page).

The University will then send an enrolment confirmation email to the email address provided during the enrolment process, containing the matriculation number and the institutional email address (e.g. nome.cognome@studenti.unipr.it).

Pre-enrollment in a second-cycle degree course

If you already know that you will not be able to obtain your three-year degree by the deadline to enrol (19 December), you must apply for verification of requirements by noon on 10 December 2025 and, once you are eligible (even with reservations), pre-enrol by noon on 19 December 2025.

WARNING! Some courses may have a different deadline. Therefore, we advise you to check the deadline for your course on the relative site(menu item ENROLL> Enrollment Methods and Deadlines).

For more information visit the dedicated page.

Recovery of curricular requirements

If, at the end of the assessment, you need to make up missing credits and therefore result eligible with debts to be made upyou can access free of charge the Curricular Requirements Recovery pathwaythrough the completion of individual course units to be completed by March 31, 2026.

To do so, however, you must make pre-enrolment in the second-cycle degree course by paying the amount of regional tax and virtual stamp duty (156 euros).

Through access to the "Curricular Requirements Recovery" pathway you can earn a maximum of 30 CFUs.

Keep in mind that since these are exclusively preparatory activities for access to the second-cycle degree course, the pathway does not entitle you to the issuance of certifications related to passing exams.

If you want to obtain exam certifications, you must carry out the standard inscription procedure for individual course units by paying the prescribed fee.
