BASIC TRAINING

Academic staff in scientific fields who conduct or coordinate laboratory activities must complete the following 3 modules:

  • Module 1: General training (4 hours)
  • Module 2: Specific training – low risk (4 hours)
  • Module 3: Specific training – medium risk (4 hours)

In addition, the following training is required:

Training for Managers: Lecturers equivalent to safety managers, i.e. Heads of Department/Centre, must complete, in addition to the basic training modules, the training for Safety Managers, which is delivered in person or, exceptionally if necessary, via synchronous e-learning in emergency situations. On the platform, under ‘Module: Training for Managers’, the teaching materials for the face-to-face courses are available.

Training for Supervisors: Lecturers responsible for teaching or research activities must, in addition to the basic training modules, also complete the ‘Module: Training for Supervisors’. Lecturers who carry out only classroom teaching activities are not required to take the course.

UPDATE

Once you have completed the basic training, and in any case no later than five years after receiving the relevant certificate, you must attend the refresher course:

#1 Health and safety training at UniPR

#2 Healthy lifestyles: diet and work

#3 Healthy lifestyles: ergonomics and sedentary work

TRAINING FOR SPECIFIC WORK ACTIVITIES

In addition to the basic training, academic staff in scientific fields must complete the following modules, depending on the risks associated with their work:

Module 3.1: Ionising radiation – Unsealed sources (for those working with radioactive isotopes)

Module 3.2: Peroxides and peroxidisable compounds: how to avoid accidents associated with their reactivity (for those working with chemicals)

Module 4: Specific training – high risk (4 hours)

Module 4: Specific training course for the Department of Medical and Veterinary Sciences
