Learn Italian in Parma

A basic knowledge of Italian is strongly recommended, and often required, especially if you wish to attend courses taught in Italian. You should start improving your Italian well before you arrive in Parma, and you can further develop your skills by attending intensive courses while you are there.

Before the start of each semester, students must take an entry test to be assigned to the appropriate language course for their level. The University of Parma offers Italian language courses at three different levels.

Information and instructions on the specifications and technical details of the test are sent to exchange students by email.

Who runs the courses?

Italian language courses are held at the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Cultural Industries (DUSIC).

The DUSIC website offers full details on Italian courses for foreign students.
