Calculating the contributions

University tuition fees and contributions vary according to:

  • merit: only CFU accrued in the twelve months prior to the date of August 10 are considered. To be eligible, you must have accrued 10 CFU per enrollment in the 2° year; 25 CFU for years following the second. Freshmen are not required to have merit in their first year of enrollment;

  • enrollment seniority: the years of enrollment at the University of Parma are counted (course changes do not eliminate seniority; however, renunciation does);

  • course subject area: to find out which subject area your course belongs to, see Annex 3 on this page;

  • economic situation: calculated on the basis of the ISEE. The ISEE must be communicated from June 23 to 5:00 PM on November 4, 2026, via an online procedure on the website of ER.GO, the Regional Agency for the Right to Higher Education. For more details on the presentation of the ISEE and the necessary documentation, visit the relevant page.

Except economic data, all other data collection is done by mandate.

Merit, length of enrollment, subject area, and proportional to the ISEE indicator determine the all-inclusive university contribution, i.e., the second and third installments.
The first instalment (or registration fee), on the other hand, is the same for all and corresponds to 156 euros (140 euros of regional tax and 16 euros of virtual stamp duty).

For the 2026-27 academic year, the annual enrollment amount for our degree programs therefore includes: the regional tax (€140), the virtual stamp (€16), and the all-inclusive university contribution, calculated individually based on the requirements of merit, enrollment seniority, subject area, and proportional to the ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) indicator.

You can consult the formula for calculating the university contribution and the table of minimum and maximum amounts in the attachment 3.

In the event of an ISEE exceeding 70,000 euros or in the absence of the communication of ISEE data by November 4th at 5 pm, you will be required to pay the maximum contribution for your subject area and your condition of merit and seniority.

Use the online simulator to know how much your installments will be.

Who falls under the No Tax Area?

If you fall ander a set threshold of ISEE and in the presence of other conditions, the university contribution corresponds to 0.

Fall into the No Tax Area and pay only the regional tax and stamp duty (156 euros) persons who:

  • register in the 2026/27 academic year and:
    - have communicated by 5:00 PM on November 4, 2026, through the procedure on the ER.GO website, an ISEE valid for the right to university education not exceeding €27,000.00.

  • are enrolled within the first year outside the course and:
    - have accrued 10 CFU (for those enrolling in the second year) or 25 CFU (for those enrolling in the years following the second) from 11/08/2025 to 10/08/2026
    - have communicated by 5:00 PM on November 4, 2026, through the procedure on the ER.GO website, an ISEE valid for the right to university education not exceeding €27,000.00.

In these cases only the first instalment bulletin (156 euros) will be published, while the other two will not appear.

If you communicate your ISEE after the bulletins are published (but always by November 4th at 5 pm) 24 hours after completing the online application on the ER.GO website, if you fall into the no tax area, they will disappear from the payments section in your reserved area of Esse3 - Online Secretariat.
