“Study in Parma – LATAM Scholarships”

Eligibility Requirements

Applications may be submitted by candidates meeting the following requirements:

Country of residence: one of the following countries:
Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Hnduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico.

Academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification granting access to a Master’s Degree programme.

Language requirements: Italian language certification at least at B2 level (CEFR).

Academic requirements:
Applicants must have obtained a pre-admission letter to an Italian-taught open-access Master’s Degree programme at the University of Parma.

Exclusions:
Applicants already enrolled at Italian universities or beneficiaries of other incompatible scholarships are not eligible.

Required documents

Applicants must upload the following documents:

  • Valid passport; 
  • Bachelor’s degree certificate with transcript of records (translated into Italian or English); 
  • Italian language certification at least at B2 level; 
  • Curriculum vitae; 
  • Proof of foreign residence. 

Failure to provide the required documentation will result in exclusion from the selection process.
Applications sent by e-mail will not be accepted.
Multiple applications submitted using different e-mail addresses are not permitted.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be evaluated by a dedicated Selection Committee, which will establish the final ranking list.

Eligibility does not guarantee the award of the scholarship: only the top 5 candidates in the ranking list will be awarded the scholarship.

Scholarship Amount and Benefits

Each scholarship includes:

  • €8,000 gross per year; 
  • duration: 2 years (subject to fulfilment of academic merit requirements); 
  • exemption from university tuition fees, except for: 
    • regional tax for the right to education; 
    • stamp duty. 

The scholarship does not cover travel or accommodation expenses.

Obligations and Renewal Requirements

The scholarship will be renewed for subsequent years only if the student fulfils the academic requirements established by the degree programme.

Publication of the Ranking List

The final ranking list will be published by September 30th 2026 this page of the official University of Parma website.

Reopening of Applications – “Study in Parma – LATAM Scholarships” 2026/2027 – 5 Scholarships for Students from Latin America

Deadline for submitting applications is August 28th 2026.

The reopening of applications was approved by Rector’s Decree No. 1344/2026 of 7 August 2026.

All terms and conditions set out in the original Call for Applications remain unchanged and fully applicable, except for those expressly amended by the above-mentioned Rector’s Decree.
