Parma, May 4, 2026 - Professors and researchers from the Universities of Wrocław (Poland) and Évora (Portugal) met in Parma, as part of educational initiatives of the EU GREEN European alliance.
The meeting, organized by professor Silvia Rossetti, of the Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Parma, focused on the preliminary development of an international Joint Degree in Urban Studies. The programme is to be coordinated by the University of Wrocław, with contributions from the Universities of Parma and Évora.
Over two days of discussions, participants explored the strategic, academic and organisational aspects of the proposed course, aiming to establish a shared vision, ensure alignment between the different university systems, and plan the next steps.
The programme, still in the planning stage, may take the form of an interdisciplinary joint degree addressing urban sustainability challenges, combining technical and social skills while promoting mobility for female students among the partner institutions.
This initiative marks an important step in strengthening the University of Parma’s international collaborations within the EU GREEN alliance and in developing innovative European educational pathways.
