The University of Parma joined the initiative promoted by the Department for Digital Transformation as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), obtaining funding under Measure 1.3.1 "Digital National Data Platform (PDND) - Universities and AFAM," aimed at strengthening the interoperability of digital services between public offices.
The Digital National Data Platform (PDND) is a technological infrastructure that enables administrations to make their data available through secure, standardized and interoperable APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that can be consulted and used by member administrations. PDND pursues the goal of ensuring full information sharing among public administrations according to the once only principle, preventing citizens, students and businesses from having to provide the same data to different entities multiple times.
As part of the Measure, the University of Parma obtained funding aimed at the implementation, publication, delivery and maintenance, through the PDND Catalog, of nine interoperable APIs related to information on course catalogues and student inscriptions and degrees, in accordance with the technical specifications set out in Annex 2 of the Notice.
The intervention makes it possible to improve the integration of the University's information systems with the national digital ecosystem, facilitating the automatic and secure exchange of information with other Public Administrations and contributing to the simplification of administrative procedures, as well as to the improvement of the quality of digital services aimed at students, citizens and businesses.
