Event description
ORA establishes a permanent Observatory on affective relationships across genders and generations. It opens university research to youth participation and dialogue with professionals in sociology, law and psychology. The project focuses on the relationship between emotional life, employment insecurity, work and quality of life, promoting awareness, intergenerational discussion and policy ideas on balancing relationships, aspirations and professional pathways.
The project includes an Observatory website and two participatory meetings during Parma 2027. Starting from cultural prompts, including film sequences in Italian and English, participants discuss relationships, emotional wellbeing and work-life balance. Observatory members facilitate the conversation. Ideas, analysis and proposals emerging from the meetings are developed further on the website, which also serves as a space for policy input.
