Parma, March 31, 2026 - The new Piacenza Campus of the University of Parma, dedicated to the English-language single-cycle master's degree program in Medicine and Surgery, has been inaugurated.

The Rector Paolo Martelli, the General Director of the Piacenza Local Health Authority Paola Bardasi, the Mayor of Piacenza Katia Tarasconi, and the Vice President of the Emilia-Romagna Region Vincenzo Colla addressed the audience.

The Via San Bartolomeo Campus, formerly the Crédit Agricole Italia Campus and the Group's training center, consists of two main buildings and features an auditorium seating over 170, new classrooms, study rooms, offices, reception areas, and breakout spaces, as well as a large reserved underground parking lot.

The Crédit Agricole Italia Campus was selected following a public call for expressions of interest issued by the University. The contract is for a six-year term.

In recent months, the facilities have undergone renovations and reorganizations to fully meet the needs of a university medical and healthcare campus.

Currently, the Medicine and Surgery program at the University of Parma enrolls 529 students, 52.7% of whom are international. Piacenza, where the Physiotherapy and Nursing programs are also held, has a total of 831 students from the University of Parma.

Over 100 University faculty members teach at the Piacenza Campus, almost all of whom are from the Department of Medicine and Surgery, 11 of whom are affiliated with the Piacenza Local Health Authority.
