Director of the School
Prof. Prisco Mirandola - The Director of the School is appointed by Rectoral Decree and serves for three years.

Each Doctoral School is afferent to one or more Departments, which take charge of the logistical support to the teaching activities envisaged in the Doctoral program and manage the related administrative tasks, in collaboration with the competent administrative structures of the University.

PhDs trained in the School are prepared to work in the main fields of biomedical, clinical, neuroscientific and veterinary research. Due to the strong disciplinary integration among the four afferent PhDs, they possess skills that allow for placement in:
- Universities, academic institutions and national and international research centers
- University Hospitals and public and private health care facilities
- Zooprophylactic Institutes and public health offices
- Pharmaceutical, biotechnological and biomedical industries
- Clinical and cognitive Neuroscience Centers
- Food safety sectors, animal production and veterinary public health
- Translational research, development of animal models and integrated one-health approaches
Advanced methodological preparation also facilitates access to academic careers, thanks to the solid scientific and interdisciplinary track offered by the School, and allows for placement in positions of responsibility in applied research, technological innovation and management of complex scientific projects.
