If you have just arrived in Parma to start your internship, there are a few essential steps you need to complete during your first few days: activate your credentials, access the online services portal, and complete the mandatory workplace safety course. You will find all the necessary instructions on this page.
Before arrival: what do you need to prepare?
In the week before you arrive in Parma, start preparing for your first appointment with Erasmus and International Home, during which you will be enrolled at the University and receive your login credentials for online services.
What do you need to do?
- Book an appointment for enrolment via this page.
- Prepare the following documents to bring to the appointment:
- a printed passport photo (for your university badge)
- your university's certificate of arrival, if required
- a document proving your date of arrival in Parma (ticket, boarding pass, etc.)
- your Italian tax code, which is mandatory for enrolment.
Credential activation
After registering, you will receive two important documents via e-mail:
- ‘Enrolment’: with your personal details and student number.
- ‘Password’: with an activation code that allows you to set your personal password to access the University's online services.
To activate your password, go to this website.
If you forget your password in the future, you can reset it here.
Once your password has been activated, you will be able to access:
- your institutional email account (nome.cognome@studenti.unipr.it)
- the unipr-WPA Wi-Fi network
- the University's online platforms and services.
Mandatory safety course
Within 10 days of starting your internship, you must complete a workplace safety training course and pass the final test.
How to access the course:
Go to the ELLY platform dedicated to safety training.
For courses in Italian: click on “Login for teachers and students” in the top right-hand corner.
For courses in English: click on the British flag in the bottom right-hand corner and then on “Login for teachers and students”.
Course enrolment
When you first log in, you will see a message preventing you from enrolling. In this case, your teacher or tutor will need to send an enrolment request to supporto.elly@unipr.it.
The request must contain:
- the student's first and last name
- e-mail address
- specification of the type of activity:
- office: Modules 1 and 2
- laboratory: Modules 1, 2 and 3
How the courses are conducted
- The Italian courses are entirely online, including the final test.
- Courses in English include online PDF materials. The final test must be taken in person, booking it by email at formazione.sicurezza@unipr.it.
If you have any questions or problems, you can:
- consult the information section on the safety training website
- contact your teacher/tutor
- contact the Centre for Health, Hygiene and Safety in the Workplace
Discounts for public transport
If you would like to purchase a public transport (TEP) or Infomobility pass, you will need to request a trainee student certificate when booking your appointment at the Erasmus and International Office.
As it can take several weeks for the Student Card to be issued, trainees may not receive their card in time for the end of their mobility period. To avoid this issue, the Erasmus and International Office issues a Student Card for trainees directly upon registration, together with the trainee student certificate.
