Donations, legacies and bequests

This is a charitable disbursement made by a private individual; the willingness to donate is expressed in a letter of intent, which is followed by acceptance by the University and the subsequent execution of the notarial deed, except in the case of donations of modest value for which a notarial deed is not required.

Within a will, it is possible to provide that certain specified assets, movable or immovable, be allocated to the University of Parma, including by finalizing the bequest for a specific purpose indicated by the testator.

With a will, the University of Parma can be named universal heir; the bequest can be free (the University will decide on its use within its institutional purposes) or restricted (i.e., aimed at a purpose predetermined by the testator).
