Parma, 28 August 2026 – Discounted bus passes are back again this year for University of Parma students enrolled at the Parma and Piacenza campuses. The initiative promoted by the University in collaboration with Crédit Agricole Italia and the two local public transport companies – TEP in Parma and SETA in Piacenza – has been renewed.

University of Parma students will therefore once again benefit from significant financial support towards the purchase of annual bus passes: TEP urban and interurban passes in Parma (i.e. with Parma as their point of departure or destination and also valid within the urban area), and SETA urban, combined and extra-urban passes in Piacenza.

The savings are considerable, ranging from a minimum of €85 to a maximum of €250, depending on the type of pass.

The aim remains to encourage forms of mobility that provide an alternative to travelling by car, reducing environmental impact and contributing to the goals of lowering energy consumption, environmental, social and economic costs, and pollution.

The offer will be valid from 31 August 2026 to 31 March 2027, allowing students who intend to enrol following the “semestre filtro” (filter semester) to benefit from the scheme.

The following categories are eligible for the discounts:

  • students enrolled in Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree and single-cycle Master’s degree programmes, up to and including their first year beyond the standard duration of their programme, provided they have no outstanding payments and are up to date with their university fees;
  • students who have pre-enrolled in a Master’s degree programme (subject to specific conditions);
  • students regularly enrolled in University of Parma PhD programmes or postgraduate specialisation schools.

As always, to access the discounts students must activate, or have already activated, their University of Parma Student Card as a CartaConto Università di Parma and use it for payment. They must also have paid their university contributions and, for students who are not exempt, the first instalment of their university fees.

The Student Card is delivered directly to the student’s home after payment of the first instalment, subject to the time required for processing and delivery. Payment of the first instalment effectively starts the procedure for issuing the card.

Details of the discounts, eligible categories, payment methods (including new payment arrangements for Parma) and all further information are available on the University of Parma website, on the Corporate Mobility page.
