The School promotes and coordinates transversal training activities in support of the PhD Programmes, with particular attention to research methodology, scientific communication, internationalisation, research data management, and the principles of ethics and research integrity.
As part of its annual planning, the Scientific Council may encourage participation in the University-wide Transversal Skills for PhD Candidates initiatives, where considered consistent with the training paths of the individual programmes.
The updated list of activities offered by the University of Parma is available on the dedicated webpage. The Scientific Council also recommends an additional course, Communication and Leadership Skills, delivered by Ing. Sergio Ricci (see PDF below).
Attendance at these activities is recognised by the respective PhD Boards in accordance with their internal regulations.
