At the Erasmus and International Home in Piazzale San Francesco there are the desks dedicated to international users. An unique place created to provide all the necessary support, both in virtual and in-presence mode, to carry out the paperwork related to enrolment and regularization of the stay in Italy.
All services are reserved for students, faculty, doctoral students, PhD students, and collaborators of the University of Parma.

Tax code
The “codice fiscale” (Italian tax code) is essential to carry out a wide range of activities in Italy, such as opening a bank account, entering into a rental contract, registering with the Italian National Health Service, and receiving payments or reimbursements from the University of Parma.
For international students: Universitaly provides a provisional tax code, the official one is issued by Agenzia delle Entrate. You can request the tax code before of after your arrival in Italy.
Before arriving in Italy: If the Italian Consulate / Embassy in your country offers this service, you can apply for an official Italian tax code before you travel to Italy.
After arriving in Italy: you can go to the local "Agenzie delle Entrate" (Revenue Agency) office at Erasmus - International Home in Piazzale S. Francesco, 3 (Parma). Every Thursdays from 2.30-5.00 p.m. Service by appointment only on to the Student Agenda selecting “Appointment with Revenue Agency (tax code for International and Exchange Students)"
In order to obtain a Tax Code, it is necessary to go to the counter and present:
- a copy of your passport
- a copy of your visa
- Have paid at least the first installment for matriculation purposes where required.
- Have completed and printed the application form

Instructions for compilation
Residence permit
Service by appointment.
Upon your arrival in Parma, through our international desk, you will be able to receive support in preparing the documentation to apply for and renew your residence permit.
To access the service you will need to book an appointment by logging into the Student Agenda portal Appointment Booking section and selecting “Appointment with CIAnC onlus (for International Students)"
Remember to bring the "Kit Postale" for applying for a residence permit, which you can pick up at any counter at the Italian Post Office. For more information, visit the website to find out how to apply for or renew a residence permit in Italy.

International counter hours
The desk is open to the public on the following days:
- Monday: CLOSED
- Tuesday: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Wednesday: CLOSED
- thursday: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- friday: CLOSED
It is not necessary to make an appointment to request information at the desk.
