General requirements
To enter higher education in the Italian university system, you must have acquired:
- at least 12 years of schooling;
- the certification of Italian level B2 (CEFR) for courses delivered in Italian, to be submitted by the date of enrolment;
- the certification of English level B2 (CEFR) for courses delivered in English, to be submitted by the enrolment date;
- the high school diploma for access to first-cycle degree courses and single-cycle degree courses;
- the Bachelor's degree (Bachelor's) for access to first-cycle degree courses.
If you hold a permit to stay other than for study purposes you are considered to be an EU student(s), so you must follow the procedures provided for EU students.
The places provided for people of Chinese nationality are exclusively reserved for students and female students who join the Marco Polo Project.
If you have not acquired 12 years of schooling, you cannot apply for pre-registration, but you can attend our Foundation Yearto make up the missing year needed to enroll in the University.

Linguistics requirements
Based on the language in which the course you have chosen is delivered, you must have specific Linguistics requirements that will be, if necessary, evaluated.
Check the Linguistics Requirements required based on the language of your course of study.
Course of study requirements
Each degree course has a different entry system according to the requirements and modalities defined by individual courses of study depending on the type and language. Check the requirements of your course of study and send your application.
Do you need a visa?
You do not need a visa to apply for admission. After being admitted, only non-EU students residing outside Italy will need a student visa to come to Italy and attend our University.
Non-EU students residing in Italy and students from the European Union do not need a visa to enter Italy.
You can independently verify which type of Visa is needed based on your personal choice of curriculum and nationality directly through the Farnesina site (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation).
Visa application is initiated once the admission process has been successfully concluded.
Prepare documentation
Before you leave, make sure you are in possession of all the necessary documentation for the final enrollment. These documents must be delivered exclusively in person in the Student's office of the study course in which you are enrolling.
