WHO CAN APPLY

Applications may be submitted by UNIPR professors and researchers (PO, PA, RTI, RTD-B, RTT) who are acting as Principal Investigators on a collaborative Horizon Europe proposal in which UNIPR is the coordinator.

Each PI may submit only one application.

The proposal must involve a partnership with at least three legal entities from three different EU Member States or countries associated with Horizon Europe (unless otherwise specified in the call for proposals).

FUNDING AND ELIGIBLE EXPENSES

The call for proposals provides a total budget of € 50,000, intended to support the preparation of collaborative proposals under Horizon Europe coordinated by UNIPR. A maximum grant of € 6,000 may be requested for each project.

The funds will be allocated across two rounds: up to € 25,000 will be awarded to applications submitted in the first round, whilst a further € 25,000 will be allocated to the second round. Any funds not utilised in the first round will be added to the amount available for the second round.

The grant may cover:

a) Specialist consultancy services up to € 6,000

b) Working and networking meetings: organization or attendance at meetings between partners (including travel and accommodation costs) up to € 4,000

c) Training activities: courses, webinars and specific training on project design (including travel and accommodation costs) up to € 2,000

Successful Principal Investigators (PIs) must attend an 8-hour training course dedicated to preparing the Horizon Europe proposal, focusing on project writing (excellence, impact, implementation) and on drawing up the budget in accordance with the programme’s rules.

The course will be organised and coordinated by the European and International Research Support Unit; the timetable and arrangements will be communicated following the publication of the ranking list.
