How it works
In the Italian system, a person's economic and asset situation is established using the ISEE (Indicatore della Situazione Economica Equivalente), which is calculated based on each person's income and assets.
On your economic and asset situation depends the tuition fees' amount and the possibility to obtain the scholarship, the accomodation and other benefits.
To apply for accommodation, scholarship and fee reduction, you will need to produce documentation showing the income and assets of your household, so that your financial situation can be assessed in accordance with the Italian system.
What documents you need
To calculate your financial situation in order to apply for the scholarship, the accomodation, the tuition fees' reduction, ecc. you must hold documentation showing the income and assets of your household.
You must upload the requested documents on the Er.go's website, the Regional Authority for Higher Education Rights.
Click here to get information about the documents to send.
Tuition fees
The tuition fees are the following:
- first instalment or administration fee: 156 euros (regional tax and stamp duty)
- annual tuition fees (personalized tuition fee): from 0 to about 2000 euros, depending on financial situation and area of study
Once you have had your economic and patrimonial situation converted according to the Italian system, you can access all the information on university fees and contributions by clicking here.
For information on how to pay, please refer to the following page.
You can apply for tuition fees' reduction through this page on Er.go's website.
Then, you must submit the documentation to ER.GO using your Dossier Utente only, by uploading it in the Corrispondenza e Protocollo > Invia documentazione > Documentazione redditi esteri section, by the deadlines established for finalizing the application.
You can fill in the application even if you are not yet enrolled at the university (if you are a student applying for a visa, wait until you have obtained your acceptance letter).

Er.go's scholarship
The scholarship is a financial aid that you can use to pay for the expenses that you must face during your studies.
In Italy the benefits related to the right to education are provided by each Region.
In Emilia-Romagna the Regional Authority for Higher Education Rights is called Er.go.
Er.go and the University of Parma jointly administer benefits for students, including scholarship, accommodation and reduced university fees.
To apply, access to this page. Fill in the personal and financial data sections and the benefits application form.
You can fill in the application even if you are not yet enrolled at the university (if you are a student applying for a visa, wait until you have obtained your acceptance letter).
You can start filling out the online application from the beginning of July, when the call for applications is published.
On the Er.go website, you will find the full notice with all the useful details, including the deadline for submitting applications for each benefit.
Do not turn to intermediaries to help with your application, as they often charge for the service and may cause you to make mistakes.

Do you have income both in Italy and abroad?
