Health and Safety Training

In accordance with Legislative Decree 81/08 and the State-Regions Agreement of 17 April 2025, the University of Parma provides training to all staff on health and safety in the workplace.

In addition to the safety training already defined and delivered in person as part of individual degree programmes, a Safety Course for students is available via e-learning.

ACCESS TO THE COURSE: Users may complete the course independently by accessing the link above using their University login details.

DEADLINE FOR COMPLETING THE COURSE: The course must normally be completed BEFORE accessing the laboratories. The deadline is, however, set by each Department and will be communicated by them, depending on the specific organisation of the courses and the start of teaching activities in the laboratory.

CERTIFICATES: You will be notified by email when the certificate is available and can be downloaded from the link IDEM - training curriculum. 

UNDERGRADUATE COURSES: The undergraduate courses for which a specific health and safety training programme is required are listed below. General and low-risk-specific training remains available to all staff via e-learning at the link provided above.

For international staff (students, trainees and other personnel attending UNIPR in various capacities), there are different ways to complete the safety training course:

• Erasmus students are issued with Unipr login details, just like all other enrolled students, and can therefore access the Elly platform at LINK Elly 2025 Formazione - Section "Safety" and take the courses available there. 

• For European users (non-Erasmus) who do not have university login details, the IDEM procedure allows them to obtain an account that grants access to the courses.

• For International users visiting the site, please follow the procedure outlined below:

1. Registration of personal details by the guest

2. Validation by the sponsoring employee

3. Activation of the newly validated role 

4. Sending credentials to the guest 

1. Go to https://www.idem.unipr.it/start/registra to register your personal details

 2. The staff member, who acts as the guarantor of the guest’s identity, validates the relationship:

a. by going to:  https://www.idem.unipr.it/secure/nuovi_ospiti 

b. and specifying the role and its expiry date 

3. The IT technical staff activate the role that has just been validated

4. The guest receives an email containing their login details and instructions on how to set their password.

Once users have been granted access, they can follow Modules 1 and 2 if they are carrying out office-based tasks, or Modules 1, 2 and 3 if they are carrying out laboratory-based tasks.

SAFETY TRAINING FOR EXTERNAL STUDENTS ON WORK PLACEMENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PARMA (PCTO, etc.)

The “Internship Organiser” shall provide training on health and safety at work, as referred to in Article 37 of Legislative Decree 81/2008, as amended and supplemented, in accordance with the timetable, content and procedures set out in the State-Regions Agreement of 21 December 2011.

In accordance with its training and information obligations, the University of Parma, through the Head of Teaching and Research Activities in the Laboratory (RADRL), provides trainees with supplementary training and detailed information regarding: i) specific risks present in the environment, spaces and facilities in which they are to work; ii) prevention and protection measures adopted in relation to specific internship activities; iii) emergency management measures adopted in relation to their activities.

It is the responsibility of the student/employee to print and keep the course attendance certificate. You can download it yourself from your learning record at IDEM - training curriculum and present it if requested.

Certificates from previous courses are considered valid ONLY in the following cases:

• If the certificates were issued by the University of Parma;

• If the certificates for modules 1 and/or 3 were issued by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia; module 2, however, is specific to UniPR.

In all other cases, there is no exemption from the safety training modules provided by UniPR.

The certificate for “Module 1 – Basic Training” is valid indefinitely, whilst all other certificates are valid for five years from the date of issue stated on the document.
