This page collects basic information for professors interested in participating in a Blended Intensive Program (BIP), from the expression of interest phase to the operational start of the project. You will also find forms and templates useful for managing the different phases.
Introduction
Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are programmes developed by groups of higher education institutions with an innovative pedagogical approach, the BIPs involve short periods of in-person activities combined with learning activities and online cooperation, in which joint groups of students, teaching staff and administrative staff from different countries may participate to collaborate on specific tasks collectively and simultaneously.
All information about this type of programmes (structure, minimum requirements, and so on) is available at the webpage of the ERASMUS+ National Agency INDIRE.
Submission of expressions of interest
The University of Parma can participate in a BIP project either as a proposing University (coordinator) or as a partner University.
Both modes follow well-defined procedures for participation, organization and reporting, explained in the BIP Guide for Professors, below.
The Welcome, Mobility and International Students Unit publishes every year the Call for Expressions of Interest for BIP projects coordinated by UNIPR; the Call is sent to all professors by email and is published in this section.
The Call for Erasmus+ Funding to support the implementation of Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) for the academic years 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 is published by Rector's Decree No. 1393/2025 dated 6 August 2025.
BIPs can also be organized with partners of the EU GREEN Alliance (EU GREEN BIPs). Information is available at the dedicated page.
