Abstract: The notion of p-Kähler manifold was introduced by Alessandrini and Andreatta in the 80's, in the context of non-Kähler geometry.
I will discuss how such manifolds have some shared behavior with Kähler ones, such as closedness under products and holomorphic submersions. On the other hand, p-Kähler manifolds are not stable under small deformations, unlike Kähler ones.
I will then move on to the setting of compact quotients of Lie groups, with a focus on nilmanifolds and almost abelian solvmanifolds.
This is joint work with Anna Fino.
