Event description

On March 17–18, the Spring School Habits Between Phenomenology and Pragmatism will be held in Parma. Organized by Gemmo Iocco and Italo Testa as part of the project Transforming Habits. Agency, Cognition, and Social Change (TransHab) PRIN 2022 PNRR and supported by the Istituto Italiano per gli Studi filosofici, the Spring School offers an intensive two-day program exploring the intersection of phenomenology and pragmatism through the lens of habit. 

Seven keynote lectures are scheduled, delivered by Jason Bell (University of New Brunswick), Emanuele Caminada (KU Leuven), Zachary Davis (St. John’s University), Danilo Manca (University of Pisa), Alessandro Salice (University College Cork), Italo Testa (University of Parma), and Francesca Sofia Alexandratos (University of Minho). 

Participants, selected through a call for applications, will also have the opportunity to present their own work and receive feedback in a supportive, collegial environment.
