The EU GREEN University Alliance, under the coordination of the working groups "WP6 - Fostering Mobility and Internationalization" and "WP8 - Sustainable and Healthy Campuses," is proud to host the first "EU GREEN Student Conference," to be held on March 6 and 7, 2026.
The EU GREEN Student Conference is the first step in a broader journey to strengthen the Alliance as a truly student-centered European University.
The goal of the conference is to bring together students from all EU GREEN Universities to help build the future of the Alliance and create lasting ties.
The Conference is designed by students for students with the aim of consolidating the fundamental role of students in the development of Alliance activities.
The result will be the publication of a "Student Declaration," defining common goals, along with proposals for student-led projects on sustainable mobility and well-being on the campuses of EU GREEN universities.
The conference consists of two main strands:
- The Strategy Group
- The Promotion Grant Group
The STRATEGY GROUP is aimed at students who want to support and contribute to the growth of the EU GREEN University Alliance as a student-centered European University.
The 123 selected students are divided into 6 sectoral panels and the result of the work done by each panel will flow into a "Student Declaration," entitled "A Road to Your Ideal University."
The 6 sectoral panels are as follows:
- Panel 1 - Inclusion and Diversity
- Panel 2 - Universities and local realities
- Panel 3 - Mobility and opportunities
- Panel 4 - Making sustainability concrete and measurable
- Panel 5 - Innovative education
- Panel 6 - European values and civic participation
The PROMOTION GRANT GROUP, involving 18 students from different Alliance universities, supports students who want to promote sustainability, inclusion and collaboration within the EU GREEN Alliance based on project proposals. Whether through the organization of a local event, or by launching a new student initiative, developing an educational innovation, or collaborating with external partners, this grant helps turn an idea into concrete action.
