The steps necessary for your admission involve the following actions:
- NOMINATION: your home university must inform us of your selection as an exchange student at this university;
- APPLICATION: following your nomination, you will be contacted by our Offices to proceed with your application; 1st Semester and Full Year: Opening - May 1st; 2nd Semester: Opening - November 1st.
- PREPARING YOUR ARRIVAL IN PARMA: The Erasmus and International Home is organizing a series of webinars to provide information regarding registration procedures, organizing your arrival in Parma, and services provided by the University for exchange students. Attend to get all the necessary information about courses offered by UniPR, academic calendar and other important details.
- REQUEST YOUR TAX CODE: In order to access the services of the University of Parma, you must be enrolled, and therefore you will need the Tax Code.

The page dedicated to useful information and reference figures contains the list of professors who make up the Departments' International Mobility Commissions, that is, the professors who are responsible for the organization and planning of all mobility and exchange activities for their Department of reference; here you can also find the Info Sheet of each Department, which contain specific information about the University of Parma and its Departments in relation to the requirements (including linguistic) and conditions to be met in order to plan one's mobility period.

Tax Code
The Tax Code (Fiscal Code - CF) is a personal identification code that must be used for various tasks and services (e.g., apartment rental contract, health insurance, opening a bank account, purchasing a phone SIM card, etc.) and is necessary to complete your registration as a student at the University of Parma.
Non-Italian citizens staying (even temporarily) in Italy for purposes other than tourism must to obtain a Fiscal Code.
(During online enrollment, during Phase A of the application process, the system automatically generated a temporary CF for you, which is not valid for purposes other than registration with the Unipr system.)
How you can obtain your tax identification number:
- If you are a EU citizen you can obtain your CF through our Office.
To activate the CF application procedure, you can fill out this form and send to incoming@unipr.it your personal identification document (Passport or ID card). - If you are a non-EU citizen you can apply for the CF at the appropriate Embassy/Consulate along with your visa application (once issued, please email a copy to incoming@unipr.it ). If this is not possible, once you have obtained your visa, refer to the procedure mentioned above for EU students, keep in mind that as additional documents, we will need a copy of your passport and visa.
- If you are a non-EU citizen, but live and study in Europe, you need to send a copy of your passport and residence permit to incoming@unipr.it.
Important - The email requesting the tax code, must state in the object: tax code request.
Make an appointment at the Erasmus and International Home
The Erasmus and International Home office is accessible by appointment, which can be booked on this page.
Two types of reservations are available:
- Incoming Exchange Students - Erasmus and International Home, for initial registration upon arrival in Parma, available in September and October for first semester arrivals, and a second period in January and February for second semester arrivals.
- Erasmus and International Home - UO Internationalization, for needs other than registration, active throughout the year.
